EfficientIP SOLIDserverโข 8.4 DDI simplifies network compliance and management thanks to new features such as the Cloud Observer plugin for Cisco Meraki and automated IPAM data reconciliation. These new capabilities help improve network data quality in order to boost the effectiveness of our Network Source of Truth (NSoT), thus enabling end-to-end ecosystem automation.
Hybrid and multicloud environments involving multiple vendors and platforms make it difficult for IT teams to achieve a consolidated, centralized view of all network objects. This can lead to inefficiencies in network operations and resource usage, as well as increased security and compliance risks.
EfficientIPโs Cloud Observer addresses these challenges by enabling IT teams to automatically discover, track, and consolidate cloud network objects into a unified view, and then keep the data accurate and up-to-date. The solution already covered multiple cloud providers like Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS and Google GCP, as well as VMware vCenter. In Release 8.4, this has now been extended to include Cisco Meraki coverage, bridging the gaps between on-prem, wired/wireless, virtualized, container/edge, and cloud-based environments.
Additionally in Release 8.4, new built-in IPAM data reconciliation capabilities help network teams easily identify inconsistencies or deviations from the IPAM data that represents the intended state of the network. Remediation options for data reconciliation are suggested, facilitating network validation and compliance, and improving data quality for an effective NSoT with IPAM.
Key benefits brought by Release 8.4 include:
