West Chester, Pennsylvania, September15 th 2015 : EfficientIP, a leading developer of DDI solutions (DNS/DHCP services, and IP Address Management), announced today that St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi has se- lected EfficientIP’s SOLIDserverTM to fully manage their DNS/DHCP and IP Address Management architecture. Prior to selecting EfficientIP, St. Dominic’s had been using Microsoft- based DNS and DHCP services. The hospital’s environment was not deployed to easily support High Availability (HA). The use of many spreadsheets was a source of constant errors that created a real bottleneck in deploying new network services. Additionally, the lack of delegation meant IT was the only source of IP addressing, which created a lack of control and documentation. St. Dominic’s researched different options over the past several years to replace its existing Microsoft DNS/DHCP ser- vices and spreadsheets with a fully integrated DDI solution. Additionally, they required the ability to overlay with their Microsoft services until they could be replaced with a Multi-Master DNS environment. This would enable a smooth and easy migration with zero downtime. “St. Dominic’s has a reputation for being a premier healthcare organization, therefore our IT infrastructure must be able to reflect these outward signs of excellence,” said Murray Farrar, Network Administrator at St. Dominic’s Information Technology Department. “Switching to EfficientIP’s DNS and DHCP servers in a High Availability environment is key for us,” he added.
